About Us

The Northwest Louisiana Pro Bono Project was established in 1986 to serve the legal needs of indigent and low-income residents of Caddo Parish.  In 2004 it was expanded to serve Bossier Parish residents as well.  In 2011 the Pro Bono Project merged with the Shreveport Bar Foundation.  The Shreveport Bar Foundation Board of Directors and its staff now provide legal services to residents of Caddo and Bossier Parishes through the Shreveport Bar Foundation Pro Bono Project (SBF PBP).

Local attorneys registered with the Pro Bono Project offer advice and representation to clients who are qualified to receive Pro Bono Project services.

The Pro Bono Project handles only civil, non-fee-generating cases.  Client eligibility is based on the federal poverty income guideline.
